Site & Setup Requirements

Smoked Festival operates as a cashless event. Vendors must have a point of sales system that records sales. For example, Square or a similar system. Accepted vendors are placed at the discretion of Capricorn Events.

Include your preferred dimensions and any relevant notes about your setup.
You must supply your own leads. All leads require current test & tag. Power boards must have circuit breakers.
Gas inspectors will be on site. All equipment must be certified. Portable fire extinguisher compulsory if using cooking equipment.
All food vendors must hold and display a minimum $20M Public Liability Insurance policy.

Important Information
  • The Site fee will be 15% of your gross takings for the duration of the festival.
  • Food vendor sites are limited and subject to approval.
  • Site allocation is determined by Capricorn Events.
  • Vendors are responsible for providing their own equipment unless otherwise agreed.
  • All structures must be suitably weighted and secured.
  • Vendors must be ready to trade during the advertised event hours.
  • Vehicles may only access the site during approved bump in and bump out periods.
  • All electrical equipment must be current test and tagged.
  • Vendors must comply with all food safety requirements.
  • Vendors must keep their site clean and safe throughout the event.
  • Large rubbish bins will be provided by the event organisers.
  • Smoked Festival operates as a cashless event.
  • Additional operational requirements may be communicated prior to the event.
Terms and Conditions
  • All food vendors must hold current Public Liability Insurance and provide the required documentation as part of their application.
  • Food vendors must provide all required food licences, permits and compliance documentation relevant to their operation.
  • Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance. Applications will be reviewed by the Event Organiser and successful applicants will be notified following assessment.
  • Vendors are required to be fully operational during the advertised trading hours of the festival unless otherwise approved by the Event Organiser.
  • The Event Organiser reserves the right to allocate vendor sites at its sole discretion and may amend site allocations where operational requirements necessitate.
  • Vendors must comply with all reasonable directions provided by Capricorn Events, event staff, contractors and venue management.
  • Vendors must have a point of sales system that records sales. For example, Square or a similar system.
  • Your gross taking report must be submitted within 3 days after the event has finished.
  • Vendors are responsible for supplying all equipment required to operate their site unless otherwise agreed.
  • All electrical equipment used on site must be current test and tagged and comply with applicable safety requirements.
  • Vendors must comply with all food safety, health, hygiene and council requirements applicable to their business and the event.
  • Vendors are responsible for maintaining their site in a clean and safe condition throughout the event.
  • Large rubbish bins will be provided by the event organisers. Vendors must dispose of rubbish responsibly using the bins provided.
  • Vendors are responsible for taking all reasonable precautions regarding the security of their stock, valuables, equipment and personal property.
  • Capricorn Events accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, damage or injury arising from participation in the event, except where required by law.
  • Capricorn Events makes no guarantee regarding attendance numbers, customer spending, sales performance or profitability. The event will proceed in all weather conditions unless deemed unsafe by the Event Organiser or relevant authorities.
  • The Event Organiser reserves the right to modify event operations, site allocations, vendor requirements or event layouts where necessary for operational, safety or compliance reasons.
  • Failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions may result in removal from the event without refund.
